Major Position ResponsibilitiesThis position will be located at the new GD-OTS facility located in Mesquite.
Summary:
Plans, coordinates, schedules, and expedites the production of - products.
Responsible for control of materials and work-in-progress, for providing accurate and timely production data and inventory counts and for generating production schedules.
Essential Functions:
Makes recommendations for production schedule changes based on the availability of material on order and in inventory.
Responsible for generating master production schedules in accordance with customer delivery requirements.
Reviews the planning status of all bills of material parts and assemblies for accuracy of planning data, including grouping of orders, cycle count frequency, min/max order quantities, and yield.
Reviews, revises where necessary, and approves direct material purchase requisitions for accuracy of planned quantity and delivery dates.
Provide management and production supervision with accurate and timely production data via reports and other written/non-written communication.
Develop and maintain effective feedback mechanisms for timely problem resolution.
Monitor all direct material activity (stock balances, requisitions, purchase orders, receiving inspection, etc.
) to insure timely material availability.
Advises purchasing of all changes in production schedules that may affect planned and placed purchase orders.
Releases production work orders and subsequent delivery of material to operations.
Follows up with warehouse to make sure materials have been delivered on a timely basis.
Adjust quantities of material consumed on work orders.
Interfaces with operations on the production progress of work orders and the expediting of critical parts and assemblies.
Manually prepares and releases rework/repair work orders.
Prepares and releases purchase requisitions for performance of outside operations on production work orders.
Reviews engineering change notices for affectivity dates, impact to schedule, and material availability/waste.
Assists other planners and schedulers in the completion of all paperwork for shipments, generation of work orders for products, and factory positioning and completions.
Any other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, or similar discipline with a minimum of 3-5 years related experience; associates degree in a related discipline with a minimum of 5 years related experience; or 7
years related experience.
Education:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
