Installation Technician - Level I Description:
The district is seeking qualified candidates for the position of a Level I Installation Technician to assist in installing voice/data system and other communication systems for the Technical Services Department.
This position will report directly to the Installation Supervisor.
The person will work closely with personnel in the Technical Services Department and all other departments.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED Valid Texas driver's license Preference will be given to applicants who:
Have experience installing cables for communication systems.
Use computers to complete work orders and research parts.
Logically troubleshoot technical problems.
Able to read and interpret schematics and architectural drawings.
Highly organized, detail oriented and able to work within a high-pressure environment.
Willing to work overtime when required.
Possess effective communication, public relation, and interpersonal skills.
Able to work on ladders, lifts, scaffolds, in attics and crawl under floors.
Able to lift (75) pounds.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
